Dasara Flower Show Opens With Democracy Theme at Kuppanna Park
The annual exhibition features a floral recreation of Bengaluru's iconic Vidhana Soudha and runs through October 21.
The Dasara Flower Show opened at Kuppanna Park with Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar leading the inauguration ceremony. The event carries the theme 'Festival of Democracy' this year, marking the celebration with patriotic symbolism.
During the ceremony, Shivakumar showered flower petals on a replica of the Constitution of India book, setting the tone for the democracy-themed exhibition. The inauguration took place on the afternoon of the previous day.
The centerpiece of this year's show is an elaborate floral recreation of the Vidhana Soudha, Bengaluru's legislative building, displayed inside the Glass House at the park. The intricate floral arrangement showcases the architectural landmark in vibrant blooms.
Visitors can explore the exhibition daily from 9 am to 9 pm through October 21. The flower show is a traditional highlight of Dasara festivities in the city.
