Salman Khan to kick off final season of Koffee With Karan
Bollywood superstar returns to the celebrity talk show after a decade-long gap as Karan Johar announces the show's last season.
Filmmaker and talk show host Karan Johar has released the first promotional video for the ninth and final season of his popular celebrity chat show Koffee With Karan, confirming Salman Khan as the opening guest. The announcement marks Khan's return to the show after more than ten years.
In the promo clip, Khan stands on the show's set and declares in Hindi that he's coming on the program. Johar then reveals the premiere date of October 14 before turning to his guest and noting that since it's the final season, the conversation could go anywhere. Khan responds with humor, suggesting the show has already crossed boundaries.
Khan previously appeared on the talk show in 2013 during its fourth season alongside his father, screenwriter Salim Khan, in the premiere episode. He returned for the fifth season's 100th episode celebration with his brothers Sohail Khan and Arbaaz Khan.
According to industry reports from August, Khan confirmed his participation for the premiere episode and agreed with Johar that he should appear solo this time. The streaming platform JioHotstar announced the show will stream on The Peacock Hub starting October 14.
